DAPPLEPAW
Dapplepaw is hopelessly energetic, despite her situation. She really doesn’t want to be a Medicine Cat, and sneaking away to watch the other apprentices fight. Hiding the bushes, downwind so she can’t be spotted. And when she gets the chance, she tries to practice what she can alone, but alone never really works out. Medicine cats aren’t supposed to learn that stuff, but she won’t be defenseless! No, her! Dapplepaw is determined.
But still, even while she hates being medicine cat apprentice, Dapplepaw is eager to please, and tries her hardest at memorizing the herbs, and what cuts are which, and what mixes fix them. She is thoughtful of her patient, even if what she says doesn’t come out as thoughtful. And when she wants to say something she becomes nervous and mumbles her words - but not always. If she can help with fixing a den, clearing out a den, even looking after kits she will, anything to get her out of the herb smelling den she has to sleep in.
Even still, she’s not all energy. With the energy, and how much she dislikes her apprenticeship, she can become easily depressed watching the other apprentices leave with their mentors, or when she gets something wrong. All she’ll want to do is go and lay in her nest, maybe nibble on a mouse if there is one. In the same instance, she can become very upset and there isn’t other than ranting than can console her, even if it is to a tree, or the ground, or a leaf… or a bug… anyone who will listen!
Clumsy! Probably the clumsiest medicine cat apprentice that ever lived. Sometimes she honestly believes that the Medicine Cat made a mistake, considering all the messes, the times she’s already tripped over her paws. Dapplepaw is convinced that she’ll trip and break her neck one day.

basics
Breed - White/Ginger mix
Eyes - light blue
Place of Birth - ThunderClan
Gender - She-cat
Status - Medicine Cat, Apprentice,
If Apprentice: ThunderClan Medicine Cat
Appearance - Dapplepaw is a brightly colored young she-cat. Her orange patches and white patches don’t exactly balance themselves out. The orange strip sort of zigzags across her back until it ends at her rear and covers her tail a bit, leaving the tip white. Her paws are small, and dainty like - only because she hasn’t fully grown. Her nose a cute pink color, and her whole face just seems squished together - but adorably so. Still young, her claws are still as sharp as ever.
Being six moons old, she still has that soft kitten fur, but it is slowly turning glossier as she gets older. By the time she is fully grown, Dapplepaw will be a sleek ginger-and-white she-cat. Her eyes are a lovely shade of blue, with bits of green in them, but they are overshadowed by the blue, and they display her emotions without hesitation. She has no scars, asides from small cuts she gets when she leaves camp only to run into an entire bush of thistles!

history
Born to Brackenstorm and Hazelfur, Dapplepkit was one of three: Sorrelkit (she-cat) and Whitekit (tom). It was a pretty normal life, but they were such an odd couple - Brackenstorm and Hazelfur. Their relationship was unexpected, and to say the least, considering their differing opinions on everything. Training their apprentices, where to hunt. It wasn’t until Hazelfur started looking towards the more brawny of the warriors that Brackenstorm realized how much he really loved Hazelfur. And it was almost too late when he told her how he felt, and then she admitted that she had only warmed up to make him jealous.
Their love for each other grew into something that no other cat could explain. Then tragedy struck. Brackenstorm had dragged his mate’s body back to the camp. “There… was a border skirmish with RiverClan...” The skirmish had risen to terrifying heights ending in the death of Hazelfur.
The three kits, now deprived of their mother, were put under the care of Twigtail, a queen expecting a large litter of kits. Too young to remember their mother’s death, but old enough to remember their mother, the kits bonded with Twigtail, and as much as Twigtail tried to get them to bond with their father, Brackenstorm refused to have anything.
His grieving lasted moons, and his fighting became reckless.
Dapplekit watched her father’s spiral, and was determined to make him proud by becoming a warrior! She practiced the moves the other apprentices practiced in the camp with her sister and brother, whenever she could! She had fun trying to outwit her siblings, and she believed that they also had as much as she did.
Until one day, they were playing, and she was running from them and she came up short of breath. Dapplekit collapsed in the camp, gasping for breath. Immediately the medicine cat had her moved into the den, and tended to her. With the sweet smell of herbs in her nostrils, Dapplekit couldn’t wait to get better so she could join her siblings back in the clearing for some more play!
Well, she did, and again she came up short of breath, and again she found herself in the Medicine cat’s den. It was then that the Medicine cat had a few words with the leader, and when Dapplekit was read to become Dapplepaw, she was shocked, angered, and mad at the leader for suggesting that she was apprenticed to the Medicine cat.
This is where her journey begins...

roleplay sample
The was going to rise over the edge of the horizon any moment now! Dapplepaw stood with her paws tucked close, and she was hunched over, tail curled around her paws for extra warmth. The snow had fallen heavily that night, and the camp clearing was covered in it up to her ears. The crisp, clean air of the predawn had woken her and sneaked in above the horrible smells of the herbs that plagued her everyday life. It would be a delightful change to watch the sunlight come crawling through the leafless trees. There was a sort of beauty in itself.
Dapplepaw rose from her nest as quietly as possible. It wouldn't do to disturb her mentor so early in the morning. It was the crunching of the snow that would have her on edge. Everyone would be able to see where she had gone, and there was no way around it other than to crawl slowly along the edge of camp until she came to the ravine that would lead her to the forest!
As quietly as possible she crunched her way forward, passing the elders den, she crept the rest of the way until she finally reached the ravine and scampered up the dangerously, slippy steps. Fluffing her fur, she shivered from the cold and proceeded into the forest where everything was deathly quiet. Nothing was moving about, and it seemed huge when it felt empty! The snow illuminated by the stars and the growing light of dawn lit her path as she crept between the leafless trees.
