LILYKIT
played by: TINY
Green eyes watched eagerly as she sat just outside the den of the medicine cat. The kit had abandoned the nursery a few moments ago when the other kits began playfighting. Instead of joining in this little kit was far too nervous about that type of behavior. She was scared that she would be the one injured. Though she loved helping in the medicine cat den, she didn’t want to be in there as a patient. Not again. Not after what happened the last time.
The moment the playfighting had started, the young kit had ran to the medicine cat den. This wasn’t a rare thing. Any chance she had to visit the medicine cat she would take. And without an apprentice, she was sure her help would be appreciated. Her mother always knew if Lilykit wasn’t in the nursery to look in the medicine cat den, it was a safe bet to assume she was there.
The tail of the little kit was twitching in excitement as she thought of just exactly what she was about to do. She was going to be helping out her favorite cat in the entire clan. Even if it was a small task of taking some bundles of herbs to a sick cat, she didn’t mind doing it. She heard the medicine cat calling her name, and Lilykit responded immediately going into the den and awaiting instructions. After receiving her task, the kit bounded over to the stock of herbs. And this would be an excellent task for the kit. After memorizing the herbs after the first few times of helping out the medicine cat she was easily able to distinguish them now.
Her task of the day was to look through the stock of herbs and see what needed to be collected. Still being a kit, she was not able to go out and find the herbs. But knowing what the medicine cat needed to gather and how much was helpful while the medicine cat was currently helping a cat get a thorn out of its paw. Lilykit sat down, her tail still twitching as she looked at each of the herbs carefully. Looks like almost everything had a decent amount. However there was a low stock on poppy seeds and the catmint looked low. If greencough were to break across the clan, this could be a problem.
Going over to tell the medicine cat the news, she saw the thorn in the poor patient’s paw. ”Can I help get it out?” she asked. It was a good idea, her teeth were tiny and it would be easier for her than a larger cat. With a nod of approval she inspected the paw and listened as the medicine cat instructed her on exactly what to do, and how to avoid as little pain as possible. ”Hold on!” Lilykit exclaimed realizing that she needed something. Running to the stock of herbs she grabbed some marigold and a tiny bit of cobweb…just in case. The little kit placed the marigold by the medicine cat and grinned as she was praised. She wanted to make sure the warrior would get an infection from the thorn. Putting on a little marigold and that little bit of cobweb would help protect it. Grabbing the thorn between her teeth, she pulled it quickly to ease the pain. The little kit mewled as she tumbled back from the force and placed the thorn in the corner of the den to dispose of later. She watched as the medicine cat put on the marigold, and Lilykit walked over to aid with the cobwebs. After careful placement the kit and medicine cat were thanked as the warrior made his way out of the den.
Soon enough her time in the medicine cat den ended when she heard her mother calling her name and telling her it was time to eat. With a quick wave of her tail and reminding the medicine cat about the thorn to dispose of, she told the medicine cat thank you before rushing out of the den and to the nursery, where she would tell all her friends and her siblings about her day, her siblings doing the same but leaving out the part of the playfighting for Lilykit.

basics
Breed - tan and white domestic shorthair
Eyes - Yellow/amberish
Place of Birth - Riverclan nursery
Gender - she-cat
Age - Four moons
Status - kit - to become medicine cat apprentice
If Apprentice: Mentor, medicine cat
Appearance -
Lilykit has many colors to her pelt, making her nowhere near the ordinary tabby. Her back is a tan color, with a few darker flecks of a caramel color underneath. Her head and tail are both honey colored with hints of that caramel color in it. She has a very pink nose and the same color pink pads to match. Lilykit’s front two paws are white and her back two paws are creamy white. Her stomach and muzzle are both a caramel color with honey flecks (the opposite of her head). The outside of her ears is dark brown, while the inside is a pinkish brown color. She is a small framed cat, just out of the runt range but thankfully doesn‘t have short stubby legs. She blends into the landscape quite well, except for when snow covers the ground. Her eyes are yellowish with a hint of amber to them giving them an extra sparkle.

personality
Lilykit is a very sweet cat and she has excellent memory. It is a skill that would be better used for helping in the medicine cat den with the herbs than fighting. She has a large fear of getting herself hurt, and as a kit in the nursery she never engaged in the fighting games the other kits did. Instead she was found hanging around the medicine cat’s den willing to lend a paw. She’s also not that much of a chatty cat. She won’t talk her patients to death, and isn’t annoying in the slightest bit when it comes to her talking. Yes she is easily distracted, but she’s a young cat who wants nothing more than to help. It’s easy to get her back on task if you just call her name or tap her on the shoulder/back. (Tapping her on the head with your tail scares her slightly).
Lilykit is also the most skittish cat you will probably ever meet. The kit is scared of everything and anything, well anything except for her family. So any cat or thing other than her siblings is the scariest thing in the world to this kit. Although she has gotten better as she has gotten older, it still isn’t a surprise to see her huddled in a corner shivering with fear. It could be something as simple as a shadow that scares the little kit. Forcing her to do something only frightens her more, so if you try to force her to be brave and step out of her comfort zone, it sets her back even more. The best thing is to let herself set her own limits and branch out when she wants to.
Lilykit tends to hide from any problem she has and does not like to face them head on. If she is having a bad day she will keep it to herself and pretend everything is fine. She won’t even admit when she is afraid, her actions are very loud (she tends to shake or whimper when scared). Are there those moments when she will verbally admit she is scared, yes, but these are rare. Denial is a good friend to have around and it seems to be her best friend at times.
The she-cat’s biggest fear is of fish, and being in RiverClan this might be a large problem in the future. Her other large fear is being left alone and this will cause her to become slightly panicky. She needs to have someone she knows and trusts around at all times.

history
Lily was born to two wonderful, devoted parents in the RiverClan nursery four moons ago with three other siblings. The first in the litter was a large tom who eventually became the leader of the group of kits. The second born was a she-cat who enjoyed trying to be a tom and fought with the oldest kit for the spot of the leader of the group. The third born was another tom, who was complacent to just watch her siblings argue and then eventually be the leader of the group by default. The final kit was Lilykit, the watcher and observer of the group.
The first moon of her life went by like normal, nothing out of the ordinary. But when it came time to open her eyes to the world after her second moon, the kit was far too nervous. She already heard the sounds and could smell everything and it was scary.
It was, of course, inevitable for her to open her eyes. And so she did, after much reluctance. She was afraid at first and stayed as close to her mother as possible, but once she got used to the sights she began to become a bit more active, playing with her siblings more and more.
Lilykit has never been one to go on too much of an adventure and shies away from trouble. If her siblings were up to something that she knew would lead to trouble, Lilykit would occupy herself with something else, usually going into the medicine cats den to see if she could help. She may know where her siblings were going if they were sneaking off, but she would never tell. The kit knows how to keep a secret. Sure, she would play with her siblings, but she always knew when to draw the line.
As of now Lilykit is four moons and is still a kit in the nursery. She has a bright future ahead of her and there is talk of her being the next medicine cat apprentice. She already is in the den as much as possible. It is the one spot she isn’t scared of and thinks is the best place in the world.
