fawnkit
is a member of
riverclanplayed by: nightmare.
basics
Breed - PALE BROWN TABBY SHORTHAIR
Eyes - AMBER
Place of Birth - RIVERCLAN NURSERY
Gender - SHE-CAT
Age - FOUR MOONS
Status - KIT / APPRENTICE / WARRIOR
If Apprentice: Mentor, not optional
Appearance - Fawnkit's usually filthy and covered in mud, but when she isn't, she has light brown fur covered in dark tabby stripes. She's larger than your average kit, built with her long legs and broad shoulders. When she's grown, she'll be a solid and muscular cat, but for now her large size hides a flimsy kit body. she has white paws that are too big for her, but by the time she's a warrior they'll be too small. she has a white muzzle and a thin, soft coating of fur over her entire body. Fawnkit's pale brown base colour is crisscrossed with frail, broken stripes of dark brown and specks of a dull, warm honey colour. she has big, bright eyes, the amber colour of a sunset.

personality
born in the second command spot that is the hierarchy of fawnkit's litter, she's more than happy to step up a rank. not a day goes by where she doesn't try to 'overthrow' her older brother acornkit and take his spot as leader. she rarely succeeds, but that isn't the point. she still tries anyway.
fawnkit is extremely prideful and doesn't take CRITICISM well. WHETHER it be about her clan, her family or herself, she holds them all in high command and is constantly racing to prove herself as something amazing. she's not the type of cat who can turn down a challenge, even if she knows she can't win, and isn't especially good at keeping her temper. pushing her isn't difficult, and you don't have to push her far.
not just stubborn and competitive but also argumentative, fawnkit doesn't like admitting she's wrong and will argue you her own corner even if she knows she's wrong. she's not scared to fight for herself or anyone else she thinks needs it. loyalty is important to her, to other cats and from them too.
you're more likely to find fawnkit nosing around some abandoned ditch than doing anything she's supposed to. it's not that she likes causing trouble, but just she likes to explore, and that often leads to trouble. she likes to know every nook and cranny, and when she's discovered all those she wants to find new ones.
she's not the most feminine or gentle cat. in fact, she's a lot more of a tom than she is a she-cat. she'll always find it easier to make friends with her siblings than with her clanmates. she has no problem with talking, but fawnkit can get bored easily, of cats as well as anything else. she can seem patronising in the way she's always trying to do things for everyone else, though, often times, she really is just trying to help. she can seem a little over protective of finchkit and lilykit, her younger siblings, and even acornkit, her older sibling, even if they aren't particularly close.
as she grows up, fawnkit will calm down a bit. not by much, but her apprenticeship will take its toll. she'll still have the ability to blow off her jobs to explore or be jealous of someone beating her, but, by the time she becomes a warrior, she'll be a lot better at holding her tongue and picking her battles.

history
fawnkit was born as the second kit and eldest she-cat in a litter of four, to Mapleflower and mudtooth. she has two brothers and a sister - acornkit, finchkit and lilykit. she was quick to open her eyes and get out into the world - before she'd even woken up, she was already ready and raring to go. for as long as she would possibly be able to remember, she's had no interest in anything other than being a warrior. it's fair to say she wasn't exactly patient with her siblings while she waited for them to open their eyes.
she was always one of the more adventurous kits in the litter. while lilykit liked the medicine cat's den, and finchkit liked to stay out of the way, fawnkit was always quite happy to butt heads with - well, just about anyone, especially her older brother acornkit. they were both usually the ones getting into trouble and dragging each other around into more and more situations.
at four moons, fawnkit is still far from mature enough to hold her own weight, though she'll sharp learn.

roleplay sample
Fawnkit sighed. she was lying on her back outside of the nursery, staring at the sky. she blew on a leaf that was in the way of her view, and when it fluttered back into her eyeline again, she repeated that action.
she was bored. Lilykit was in the medicine cat's den, finchkit nowhere to be seen. Acornkit had probably slipped off somewhere he wasn't meant to be, and not taken her with him. whatever they were all doing, the fact remained the same: she was bored.
the sky was blue and sharp, the horizon a thin green line in every direction. there was one fluffy white cloud all the way above her. it changed shape depending on which way she turned her head - in one direction it looked like a rabbit, the other a fish.
that had been fun for a little while, but now she was bored again.
new leaf was in full swing. the leaf bare chill had melted from the air. the sun was high in the sky, glaring down on a world of rivers and trees. of all the things fawnkit could be doing, all the places she could be seeing, she was stuck in a stuffy camp, bored.
the breeze blew through her thin fur, making her shiver despite the warmth. her amber eyes were blinking at the sky, the sun blinding her when she looked to close. she stirred dust with her tale, closed her eyes then opened them again. she sighed. the rabbit/fish shaped cloud passed over the sun and the sky went dark for a moment.
fawnkit stood up, dust in her fur, and looked around. the camp was almost empty - nothing more than the odd apprentice or warrior milling around. she moved over to the side of the nursery. taking one last glance at the camp, she scrambled her way out of camp and into the territory beyond, careful to keep quiet. smiling at the sky, now lit up again by the sun, she set off on her own little adventure, staying within sight of the camp. after all, she'd be back by sunhigh.
