[attr="class","twotext"]Personality Many would describe Ivystar as one who is calm and open to the cats of her clan. She's a very friendly and optimistic cat, trying to make others see what she sees in the world around them. As well, Ivystar is tolerant of many cats, being able to put up with complaining elders and hyper kits. And, despite everything, Ivystar has an intense sense of loyalty to not only cats but to her clan.
Ivystar is also a determined cat, trying to do everything she sets her mind to, despite comments from others. However, this determination also makes her a day-dreamer where she is often caught thinking about scenarios that will never happen. Emotion is a main driver of Ivystar's choices as she often follows her heart more than her mind, which can get her in trouble from time to time. Her emotions also drive her to be maternal as she wants to help as many cats as she can, and she has a soft spot for kits. Aside from her emotions, Ivystar can be skeptical when using her brain, often trying to find the best course of action (and in turn, doubting the ideas of others) for the given scene.
Lastly, there are a few attributes that many would say as 'bad traits' for Ivystar. She is blunt when delivering bad news and when giving her opinion, preferring to skip most pleasantries. However, just because she is blunt with her words does not mean she is impulsive when she acts or speaks, in fact, Ivystar is a rather cautious cat when it comes to speaking and acting, usually trying to think through the interaction before completing it. However, Ivystar's mind is very strong in her opinions. She can be rather dogmatic and believes her principles are true and the best, regardless of what others say. Ivystar is also a vulnerable cat, both physically and mentally. Physically, she is not very strong; but, mentally, she lets her emotions drive her and this can lead to her being taken advantage of. As well, this vulnerability also allows Ivystar to become jealous of other cats and the opportunities they may get that she cannot achieve.

Appearance Her frame is lithe and graceful. Well-toned muscles and it seems as though her body is in a healthy condition. Ivystar's fur appears black to many but seems to have a red shine when in the sunlight. Her face is well-defined and her features are very proportional. Her most striking features are her eyes, which are a combination of round and almond shape with her eye color being a solid yellow.
History
✪ birth and kit-hood
Ivykit was born with her litter-mates, Goosekit and Viperkit. Both were born at night with only their parents and the medicine cat awake. The two parents considered themselves blessed to have these three kits, as they'd been trying to have kits for several moons. Ivykit's time in the nursery came and went quickly as any other kit's time in the nursery would. Most of it consisted of the trio running around together and causing trouble within the nursery for their parents. But their easy time of being a kit would soon end with their apprenticeship beginning to start.
✪ apprentice-ship
Ivykit quickly became Ivypaw, along with her brother who was now named Goosepaw. At first, Ivypaw started out as a warrior apprentice. She showed some promise in combat, and enjoyed being able to learn these new skills and get new freedom that she couldn't have as a kit. The three siblings all enjoyed their training and all could easily become great warriors of their clan. Ivypaw and Viperpaw became close during this time, being able to gossip about cute toms and share secrets they couldn't necessarily say to their brother. Despite this, the trio was still tight-nit. Ivypaw continuously increased the skill level of her training and easily became the best fighter out of her siblings. However, Ivypaw's life took a harder turn when she was about 11 moons. Her farther had been attacked by a fox that was found in the territory and was badly wounded. The medicine cat did the best they could to try and save their father, but there was only so much that could be done. Her father died a few days following the event. The family was distraught and upset from his death, Ivypaw's brother was impacted the most by this because of his closeness to their father. Ivypaw and Viperpaw both tried to console Goosepaw, but he continued to distance himself as he tried to deal with his father's death. Eventually,Ivypaw gave up trying to reach out of Goospaw, leaving Viperpaw to try alone. Her skills began to improve as she started to focus more and more on her training. And eventually, Viperpaw and Goosepaw joined Ivypaw back in their training.
✪ adulthood
Soon the time to become a warrior came. Ivypaw became Ivycloud, her siblings were named Gooseheart and Vipergaze. Becoming warriors allowed the siblings to have even more freedom. Ivycloud was able to achieve her warrior duties rather quickly and spent the rest of her time exploring the territory. However, her exploration would often bring into encounters with different animals or cats. Luckily, nothing terrible ever happened to Ivycloud. However, her interest in unknown things would bring her into a tough situation. While exploring the territory one day, she met a desperate mother. The she-cat asked if she could give shelter to the family; however, the mother was already very weak and Ivycloud wasn't sure if she could make the journey back to the camp. After explaining this, the mother understood and requested Ivycloud take her kit and give them a chance of life. Being overwhelmed by emotion, Ivycloud agreed and took the kit, who she learned was named Aspen. Ivycloud bid farewell to the mother, who tried to wander back to the direction of the two-legs, hoping she would make it there in a quicker time. Ivycloud carried the kit back, they were rather small, no more than 5 moons. As she arrived back at the camp, Ivycloud was greeted by a great deal of clan members, all of whom were asking many questions on where this kit came from. Eventually after speaking with the leader and deputy, the two agreed to allow the kit to stay, given that Ivycloud took care of the kit. Being only 32 moons, Ivycloud hadn't expected to have to take care of a kit just yet. However, she accepted the terms of the two. They seemed rather proud of Ivycloud's decision. Ivycloud did her best to raise Aspen, who was now Aspenkit and shortly after, Aspenpaw. Shortly after this time, the clan leader passed away due to illness and the deputy had to step up as the clan leader. Ivycloud was offered the opportunity to become the next deputy of ShadowClan, she eagerly accepted the offer. With Aspenpaw training under a skilled cat, Ivycloud was able to focus on her deputy duties. However, roughly about a year after becoming deputy, the leader of the clan was blinding in a patrol accident. For the best of the clan, it was suggested Ivycloud should step up and lead the clan. Agreeing with this, Ivycloud was set to become the next leader of the clan as the current leader stepped down from their position. On the eve of Ivycloud turning 48 moons, Ivycloud became Ivystar.
