personality
Mouspaw is unfortunately a very timid tom. He tends to be uncertain of what to do and how to do things and this makes him slow when he has to decide something quickly. He doesn't handle pressure or anger at all, usually he will sit with his head bowed and take whatever lecture is coming to him.
He is most comfortable around cats his own age or at the very least other apprentices, elders don't bother him too much he respects the grizzly old cats immensely. Young warriors always pose a threat in his mind, he never knows if these cats should be as arrogant as he thinks they are.
He is very judgmental, he makes quick assumptions of cats that he will carry with him until he learns otherwise. In a sense he can be stubborn about his assumptions though, occasionally he will let that cloud reasons on what they actually are like.
On the flip note he has a strong sense of right and wrong, while he is slow to trust he is nearly always certain on who is good and bad or what choices to make are the best as long as those choices aren't forced upon him but decided by other cats. He can be very friendly and open once he is comfortable and even cheery along with being playful when it comes to his friends.

history
Mousepaw's mother was a very young she-cat when she had kits. She had barely been a warrior for a couple of moons before she moved into the nursery though no one in the clan knew who the father was. Many rumors flew around the clan that the father was a loner or even a cat from another clan but when it came to her kitting Mudfang step up as the father. This didn't come as a big surprise to the clan, Mudfang had always had an interest in Swanface but the warrior tom was surly and unagreeable and no one guessed any she-cat would want him as a mate.
He was outside the entrance to the Nursery the moment she began to experience pain, pacing for he was not allowed inside.
Unfortunately for Swanface she needed him more than ever for her labor was going to the hardest challenge of her life. She had been very swollen with kits and now that they were coming it was proving difficult. It took all her strength and all the medicine cat's skills but she had five kits. Most had dark golden colored coats similar to their father, while a couple had paler colored coats looking much more like their mother. They were small, sickly kits. Still she and Mudfang were proud and named them the moment the medicine cat left.
The next morning though, only four kits survived the night. Mousekit, Tigerkit, Mottledkit and Sandkit. Spiderkit had died in the middle of the night.
However the four renaming kits grew healthy and strong.
Mousekit was a worry as the smallest of the three so his mother pushed him to be more spontaneous and introduced him to Mudfang who tried to teach the kit to be fierce and sometimes he would treat his kit fairly harshly.
Mudfang cared for his kits but the warrior always hated weakness so he would try to teach each of his young kits simple fighting moves but every time one of the kits wanted to play or did it wrong the warrior would turn his back and leave in a rage. Leaving Swanface to soothe her crying kits.
The split treatment confused Mousekit, leaving him wary of his father and others.
Eventually the littermates all became apprentices, Mousepaw has not been one for long but so far he has enjoyed what training he has had though he reminds self-conscious of himself but still ready to learn.
